The company operates on a farm-to-table model, owning the entire back-end supply chain and cold chain. It operates across Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad.
Our facility is built in a small village at Doddarasinakere, Maddur Taluk, Mandya district, Karnataka. The facility is located close to the national highway and about 70 kms from Bangalore city. Al Jalil Exports is recognised with the FSSAI certification for food safety, HACCP, ISO 22000:2018, APEDA.
AL JALIL EXPORTS was founded and launched in August 2016 by Dr. Sowmiya Ramesh. The company was conceptualized with a vision to emerge as India’s as well as internationally acclaimed meat brand by offering premium quality products. Dr. Sowmiya is also the founder of DG Hospital, Bengaluru and holds a medical degree from JSS Medical Collage.
The aim of establishing this facility was also to support and encourage nearby rural households by creating employment opportunities and using local resources to support better livelihood.
The facility is completely designed per USA- USDA regulations that requires how a slaughter facility should be built. This facility is built with “State of the Art” design and installed with imported equipments. The facility has been built in a place where there is ample source of raw commodity which is sheep and goat, available throughout the year. All these animals are raised in farms purely on organic / natural grass feed, and no animals are fed with man-made inorganic feed or on any growth hormones.
While animals are procured locally, our full-time veterinarians check each animal for its health condition prior to sending it thru slaughtering process. Our full-time quality control professionals check each animal for its quality characteristics and ensuring each animal’s traceability is documented.
The completely dressed animals are handled hygienically by experienced and trained individuals in the facility. The carcasses are then stored under controlled temperature condition while waiting to be shipped on temperature-controlled condition trucks under a seal security on the truck doors to eliminate any possible intentional adulteration or any such food safety issue during transit time.
Quality Control professionals conduct distinct number of product quality and safety tests to ensure the highest possible quality and safe products are produced and shipped to our customers. The facility has obtained HALAL certification, APEDA, FSSAI, ISO 22000:2018 and most importantly looking forward to obtain GFSI / BRC certification to enable the company to export meat to USA and other Countries.
